The works of Greek composers for Oboe are still an unexplored repertoire.
After a relevant survey, I have listed a significant number of remarkable works which push marvellously forward the melodic and expressive character of the instrument.
The present anthology tries through a diversity of colours, style and inspiration, to form a “soundscape” in continuous transformation.
In this opening issue of my research work, I present imaginative and charming works for oboe at world premier recording.
They were written at about the same time by important Greek composers.
Our interpretation’s practice was based on the collaboration with them, focusing on each composer’s aesthetic approach of the instruments` expressiveness.
I think that it is our instinct which gives us the impulse to choose musical pieces, as a stimulus of metamorphosis which reflects new perspectives of creativeness.
